Pearls of Wisdom

This Group meets on a monthly basis, normally on the third of each month, with the purpose of
providing the opportunity for older peel (50 +) in the Church to socialise together, and if they wish,
to bring friends with them. The group welcomes those with no other personal connection with the
Church.

The meetings last for 2 hours (2 – 4 p.m.) and starts with a time for chat and socializing over tea and
biscuits. The next hour takes the form of some activity e.g. quizzes, speakers, demonstrations,
games etc. The meeting closes with a short Christian epilogue.

So far this year the activities have been.

March.                      Speaker – Vic Gladden, Yeoman Warder of the Tower of London

April Speaker –         Edwin Wood, Museum of London Curator speaking on Roman Britain.

May                           Outing to Clacton

June                          Fish and chip lunch with singer.
